A Patriotic pair.
Each and every Summer without fail, sneaker brands look to capitalize on the nation's patriotism with a slew of Independence Day-themed kicks. This year has been no different of course, with the likes of adidas and their Undefeated Ultra BOOST , and Nike's (albeit controversial) Air Max 1 . And while we come to expect an endless run of USA Air Maxes and UBs, there's always one brand that never joins the party; Jordan Brand.
But boy, if they did . .
For whatever reason, the Jumpman always sits out of the celebration, but that's not going to stop us at HOUSE OF HEAT from dreaming — and as promised, as a follow up to our "Fourth of July/ Air Jordan 7, is the second half of the conceptual pack, the Air Jordan 4 .
Contrasting the stark whites and vivid colors of the aforementioned Seven, we've opted for a more traditional — even regal — offering for the 1989 Air Jordan. Anchored down in nappy navy suede, our take on the Independence Day AIr Jordan 4 adds in shining metallic golds at the eyelets, netting, and heel branding, and matching gold weave at the tongue and insole branding. Pre-aged sail midsoles add to the vintage flair, while regal red hits on the sole unit tie into the throwback theme.
