July 2011 LTA Loring, Maine Land Speed Racing Event

 David (Haas), Driving The Royal Purple Maxx2Racing 'Bad Bird', 'Blew The Doors' Off The Competition, setting the new record of 208.4985 MPH in C/GCT. This is an accomplishment that must be appreciated. The correct class for the car is in the 'C' class, however, one is allowed to 'Step Up In Class' to B/GCT, A/GCT, and AA/GCT. The car actually attained a speed higher than those three (3) classes also, and had time permitted, the team may have set multiple records in the other classes. AA/GCT 208.478, A/GCT 168.558

 This also brought David his Seventh (7th) 200 Club Hat, plus he is also in the Bonneville Salt Flats 300 Club
